Mansur has been part of the Welldoc team since 2012, overseeing many of the clinical aspects of Welldoc’s suite of digital health products. He is also actively involved in patient care, serving people living with diabetes and other endocrine and metabolic conditions at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD, where he founded the endocrinology training program. Mansur maintains an academic affiliation at the University of Maryland School of Medicine where he is a clinical associate professor and regularly teaches medical students.
Mansur completed an internship and residency at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and his fellowships in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at the Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism.
Mansur’s expertise is in complex pharmacologic approaches to treat diabetes and the use of technology in healthcare. He has published over 25 peer-reviewed medical articles and textbook chapters. Currently, he is an associate editor of the journal Clinical Diabetes and is serving as the guest editor for a special issue on diabetes technology. Along with Karen Graham, he has recently co-authored 3 books for people with diabetes, Diabetes Essentials, The Diabetes Cookbook, and The Complete Diabetes Guide, whose previous edition was a best-seller in Canada. Mansur is an active member of the American Diabetes Association, including participation in the Diabetes is Primary Program.
