As Vice President of Quality and Regulatory at Welldoc, Farhan Shahab leads the company’s efforts to ensure compliance with FDA, ISO and global regulatory standards for digital health products. With over 25 years of experience in regulatory strategy and quality assurance, Farhan’s expertise spans regulatory submissions, product quality management, streamlining business processes, and developing strategies that align with evolving industry requirements.
Before joining Welldoc, Farhan served as Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at Intuity Medical, a diabetes management company. At Intuity, he led regulatory and quality teams to ensure compliance with U.S. and international standards for their blood glucose monitor, cartridge and control solutions along with their SaMD product, Patterns, which helped users manage diabetes through personalized insights.
In prior roles at Moximed, AngioScore (now Philips Healthcare), Medtronic and Allergan, Farhan led regulatory clearances/approvals, audits (FDA, ISO, CE Mark, PMDA), and quality improvements for wide range of Class I, II and III medical devices. He holds an MBA and a BS in Chemical Engineering (minors in Resource Economics and Chemistry), as well as various certifications, including CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), CSSBB (Certified Six Sigma Black Belt), CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) and RAC (Regulatory Affairs Certification).
